The Kenyan school year for 2024 got underway in January. Gideon and I joined students and teachers as the 1st term was underway.
The 2024 school year focused on five areas to continue Building Hopes and Dreams Through Education for St. Joseph's:
- Academic Learning and Resources
- Teacher Training
- Physical Facilities
- Personnel — Teaching and Non-teaching Staff
- Institutional Systems and Structures
As Term 3 closed this past week, ending the 2024 school year for St. Joseph's, plans are to now recap and share highlights of the year.
We have been immersed in the day-to-day activities and communications of St. Joseph's. Now back in the US and with the school year having ended, plans are to share the continuing story of St. Joseph's — the journey of this small rural school — the hopes and dreams for it — and our personal perspectives and experiences.
These five areas of focus will be the center of our upcoming posts over the next couple of months as the new school year begins in January 2025.
